What BBB accreditation actually means
Not every business is a BBB Accredited Business. Accreditation isn't automatic and it isn't just a badge you buy — it's a commitment. To earn and keep it, a business has to meet the BBB's Standards for Trust, and accreditation can be revoked if those standards aren't upheld. - An independent reputation you can verify. Anyone can call themselves reliable. BBB accreditation means a neutral third party has reviewed our business, and consumers can check our profile on BBB.org to make an informed decision before hiring us.
- Reviews and complaints that are real. BBB validates the identity of every person who leaves a review or complaint and confirms they actually dealt with the business. What you read on our profile comes from genuine customers, not anonymous strangers.
- A fair path if something ever goes wrong. In the rare case of a disagreement, the BBB offers unbiased mediation and arbitration to help settle disputes — a fair, low-cost alternative to expensive litigation for everyone involved.
